Seventh class

Seventh class and Gamification.

According to Oxford Dictionary, gamification is "The application of typical elements of game playing (e.g. point scoring, competition with others, and rules of play) to other areas of activity, typically as an online marketing technique to encourage engagement with a product or service." That is, this method consists of the use of game elements in non-play activities to boost motivation, get a goal or improve productivity. This method is very useful. In education specifically, elements of games are added to the educational context in which we are. This is done with the purpose of facilitating learning in a more interactive and fun way.

However, there are similar terms and we should not confuse them, the most important one is Game Based Learning.

Personally, I really like gamification because I think it is very beneficial for the motivation of the students since it is something new and creative. In addition, I had to prepare a presentation of this topic in another subject.
